We design children's rooms for families in Amsterdam and nearby areas. When you write to us, book a consultation, or browse this site, we handle personal data carefully and only for clear purposes related to our studio work.
Data we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postal address of the project home, photographs of interiors that you send us, floor plans, and notes about your child's age and room needs. If you visit smalljoysmama.mom, our systems may record technical data such as browser type and general access times through ordinary hosting logs.
We do not ask children to submit personal data through this website. If a parent includes a child's first name in project correspondence, we treat that information as part of the family brief and keep it confidential within the project file.
Why we use your data
We use contact details to reply to enquiries, schedule visits, prepare design proposals, and issue invoices in euros. Project photographs and measurements are used solely to design your room and to communicate with you about options. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with unrelated marketing lists.
Where Dutch or European law requires a legal basis, we rely on contract performance for active design work, legitimate interest in answering unsolicited enquiries, and consent where you have accepted optional cookies described on our Cookies page (storage key: smalljoysmama_cookie_consent_v2).
Retention and security
Enquiry emails that do not become projects are typically deleted within twenty-four months. Active project files are kept for the duration of the work and for a reasonable period afterward for warranty questions and tax record-keeping under Dutch rules. Access to project folders is limited to the studio team working on your room.
We store digital files on secured devices and reputable business tools. Physical sample boards and printed plans kept at Prinsengracht 312 are returned or archived with your agreement at the end of a project.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for correction, or request deletion where we no longer need the information for a contract or legal duty. You may also object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your file.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the matter quickly.
Updates to this policy
